46 What's happening, dude? What up, what up? Fast five for Friday. All right, we're going to get into it. We're not going to waste any time here. Number one. Watch the keynote speech from one of my favorite humans currently, Cody Sanchez, over the weekend. And in the speech, you know, she was talking about, look, if you want a bigger bank account, move faster. And her point was really around the whole idea of speed to decision. And how too many times in business, we sit around and we spin our wheels and we think about things and we wait for the right time and we decide all the things that have to happen. And she shared this really wonderful story, which I'm going to completely botch, by the way, right now.

26 I'm just calling myself out on that. right away. But essentially, to paraphrase the story that she shared, it was Elon, you know, on a plane shortly after he picked up X with a whole bunch of people from X. And there's some big problem. And he's like, OK, well, how long is it going to take for us to fix this? They say something like, oh, you know, I don't know, three or four weeks. He's like, fuck that. Turn the plane around right now. We're going back and we're going to fix it today. And we're not leaving until we're done. And they did. And I think it's such a powerful reminder that so often we're putting these statements in, especially with solving problems. It's like, well, this is what's wrong. And this is why we can't do it this fast.

06 And yeah, but what if you could? Yeah, but how could you? So that was a really, really powerful reminder because I know personally, one of the things I'm very guilty of occasionally is putting too many mental constructs in front of solving a problem instead of just going, yeah, you know what? What if we fix it faster? How could we do that? That was a really powerful one. That's number two. Can I add one little piece to that? Yeah, hit it. Super critical. Our rules drive our behavior. And so there's so much magic in that distinction you had because those rules of if I have to do A in order to be allowed to do B, that drives how we play, right? So beautiful distinction, man. So, number two, so distinction or one of the big ahas this week for me, one of our coaches actually, Chad Cooper, turned me on to Gene Keys.

53 So, GeneKeys.com, G-E-N-E-K-E-Y-S.com. Free personality assessment based on your birth date, location. Dude, here's the thing for me. I've been in the game of personal development since I was 13. Yeah. I've done every personality assessment under the sun from human design to disc to Myers-Briggs to heritage profile, you name it, all of them. I had never done Gene Keys. And it was really fascinating to go through just reading the dynamics of it and getting feedback on it. But what was really an aha for me is just because we're in this game, I haven't taken the time to really look at my own world through that lens and... And just taking that simple step back and kind of going, huh, how do I react?

36 Is that true? Is that always true? It just opened up Pandora's box for me as it relates to a number of different things that we're working on right now. So for me, carving out that time and yeah, just looking in the mirror. And then one thing that was really cool, it's a free profiling system. And I thought it was profound in terms of what it gave me. So that was my number two. I love that, man. And I think that it's such a valuable exercise anytime we can learn about ourselves. Because so often we're looking to learn things about things and people that are external of us. Whereas like really understanding ourselves day in and day out can be insanely valuable in terms of driving our results and how we show up and all the things. So I love that.

16 I love it. And I've never heard of Gene Keys. So now I got to go take this. It's cool. I got to go do this. Okay, number three. When we think about success, most of the time we think about success as a direct result of our outputs. That our outputs are what indicate success. And I had a powerful reminder over the weekend that... really, success is a lagging indicator of our inputs. It's not our outputs. It's our inputs. Day in, day out. What are you doing? How are you doing it? That's what's going to determine success at the end of the day. And I love that because one of the things that I think can be very disempowering is we have an output or an outcome that we're after.

04 And if we don't get I didn't hit my outcome. And so I wasn't successful. Whereas if we're really focused on the inputs, at the end of the day, success is inevitable. And long-term success, which is really, I mean, I'm not going to tell you what you should want, but okay, I'll go ahead and tell you, you should want long-term success instead of short-term. But you know, if that's really what you're after, if you're after building something that's lasting in any area of your life, it's going to be about the inputs, not the outputs. That was a powerful reminder for me. Love that. Absolutely love that. It's interesting because there's a little bit of a bridge there into number four for today, which for me, number four, and I'll kind of connect the dots.

50 Number four is listen to the witching hour. So, this piece in the past, there was many times when if I woke up at 3am in the morning, I would like roll over and do everything I could to try and go back to sleep, right? And And, you know, I was like, go take a melatonin or go load up on magnesium or, you know, do something to try and get back to sleep. And it was interesting because in the last couple months, I made a commitment that if I woke up at the witching hour, I would ask a new question to see what would come up. And so for me, it's been a success principle that I've been conditioning. It was really wild because on Sunday, woke up at 3 a.m. in the morning. And again, that first hit was go back to sleep, go back to sleep, go back to sleep. And instead, I asked a new question.

31 I said, okay, subconscious mind, God, the universe, what is it that you want to share or show me right now? And dude, it was crazy. It was literally like a project. And you know, the project I've been toiling with for honestly, like over a year, I've been trying to figure out how do I connect the dots to make this thing happen? How do I put this deal together to like actually move this thing forward? Yeah. Hadn't been able to come up with the answers, but at the witching hour, poof, God, the universe, whatever his or her name was, was like, here is the full formula for it. And it happened again last night. So the witching hour hit, boom, Pandora's box open. So pretty wild, cool little experience. So yeah, for those of you, if you wake up at the witching hour, ask a new question and see what answers come through.

12 I love that. And I think too, like we can make all kinds, once again, comes back to meaning, we can make all kinds of meanings about that time. And I love that you made the choice to believe that there was a reason you were up that early. I've had similar experiences. And every single time that I do that, it's prolific, honestly. It's gold. Yeah. What comes out at that point. I love that, dude. I'm going to wrap us up number five here with a quote that I really love. You know, we've talked a lot on one of our most recent full-length episodes. We talked a lot about really being intentional coming into the holidays and things like that. And I think regardless of how hard you decide to go in your business, it's important to make sure that self-care is at like, that needs to be at the forefront in the next two months, no matter what you decide to do.

57 And I really love this quote. This was wonderful. Almost everything will work again if you unplug it, including you. I love that because it's like literally I'm like unplug the computer. And also, by the way, everything will work again, too. If you like grab the disc and blow on it. You know, I don't know how that applies to you personally or like the old Nintendo game. And you're like, oh, I don't know. Smack it. Yeah. Okay. Now I've gone sideways. I took a really simple quote and I went completely sideways. That was Anne Lamott, by the way. Almost everything will work again if you unplug it, including you. I love that. So remember that. We got a little bit of time left. How about a little bonus action? Quick bonus action? I would love to give a little bonus.

39 Yeah. Give it. Let's go. This one was a huge distinction for me this morning. So it's just a really good reminder. I was reading through testimonials from our clients and I was reading through them just kind of going, hey, what are some of the cool things we've done with people? And as I'm like going through this list of people, biggest month ever, biggest quarter ever, biggest year ever, just tripled my enrollment rate. Like just looking at all these different cool pieces. Yeah. It was so good to remind myself what we do. We're really fucking good at it. And even as long as we've been in this game and even as many people as we've helped over the course of time, dude, those imposters creep in on the regular and they're like, you're not good enough. You haven't done enough. You haven't been successful enough. You haven't hit that next threshold.

20 And so it was just a really good piece. Again, a good practice to just remind ourselves. not to bullshit ourselves, but to actually go look at the real tangible results we've helped our clients get. It was very empowering for me this morning of just turning my brain around to go, holy crap, like we're rocking and rolling. So, man, I love that. Thank you for ending us on that. That's a powerful sentiment. Go celebrate your wins. Friday Fast Five. We did it under 10 minutes. Ryan and Brooke out. See you on the next episode.
